Princess Party (2024)

Princess Party is my 2024 graduate collection.
My purpose for this project was to develop a princess-inspired event-wear collection. After a while, my concept has adjusted to bring in a ready-to-wear aspect. The goal was to bridge the gap between sustainability and durability within this clothing aesthetic. Most commonly synthetic materials are used for garment like these such promote a cradle-to-grave life cycle as the materials do not have the longevity to be recycled.

The 18th-century Rococo fashion era inspired the silhouettes, transforming the lavish full-body gowns into contemporary garments suitable for everyday wear/event wear. Contemporary influences came through from Pop-star Sabrina Carpenter, famous for her girly and feminine persona on stage.
