Design Identity
01
Design Philosophy
My design identity is intertwined with feminine silhouettes. I have a strong passion for creating girly and romantic garments that present a delicate and gentle approach to women’s fashion that strays from typical New Zealand fashion.
I connect my journey of growth and self-discovery to the garments that I create. My collections show the true authenticity of my learning. I have experience picking up new skills and using a range of fabrics.
My garments don’t neatly fit into New Zealand fashion, but that is my strength. They present my desire to stand out gently and be true to myself.
02
Textiles
During my studies, I gravitated towards textiles such as embroidery, beadwork, and crochet to create intricate detailing.
Embroidery stitches and beadwork included in my garments add texture that you can touch.
When using these techniques, I commonly use raised stitches that create contrast against the soft materials used. The beadwork also catches the eye beautifully creating an iridescent detail to the garment.
Crochet is the newest skill I’ve picked up. Within my crochet design style, I aim to continue this delicate and feminine aesthetic by using softer merino wool and various stitches loose or dense to achieve this style.
03
Target Audience
My designs are catered towards young adult women who share my passion for romantic and feminine clothing. I design for women who seek out clothing that makes them feel unique rather than following mainstream/streetwear fashion.
I centre my designs around someone who values versatility to create a wardrobe that can survive through seasons. Everyone should have options to dress clothing up or down to transition between everyday wear and special occasions.
Last but not least, consumers who think about the impact of having sustainable and durable clothing. Clothing should allow you to have high-quality pieces for most occasions, so you reflect beauty and responsibility.

Feminine styling has always been at the heart of my creative dreams. From soft colours to gentle silhouettes, my designs aim to embody a delicate, feminine persona. My design identity is defined by embracing new skills and applying intricate details to express the ethereal side of femininity.
My graduate collection, Princess Party, presents a fresh and contemporary approach to the extravagant silhouettes of the 18th-century French Court. Inspired by Marie Antoinette and the Rococo Era, I strive to reimagine that whimsical and historic aesthetic into pieces fit for the 21st century. Through silhouettes, fabrics, and textures, this collection aims to be timeless and contemporary
